P&C

Narbethong's Parents and Citizens association (P&C) in 2016 will meet on the second Tuesday of the month at Narbethong school. This group provides a vital role in fundraising and supporting the provision of new resources into the school.

Over the past few years, the P&C have helped procure a new school bus, standing frames (which can cost up to $8000 each), hydrotherapy pool equipment and other vital equipment to meet the specialist needs of our students. The P&C also organises the yearly student Christmas party held in about the third Saturday of November.

In January 2013, the P&C helped fund a teacher development program allowing two teachers from Narbethong to present at an Active Learning conference in Los Angeles. As part of this trip, they also visited a number of other Active Learning schools in the United States of America. This will be a wonderful opportunity for raising the awareness of Narbethong on a international stage, as well are providing networking links across the globe.

The information learned by these teachers is being disseminated throughout the school as a way of constantly comparing and improving how we implement active learning for our students at Narbethong.
