Narbethong's Curriculum Framework
Narbethong offers the curriculum of the students' stage of schooling designed to meet the individual needs of students. Students are taught the knowledge and skills of learning areas as well as the
Expanded Core Curriculum for Students with Vision Impairment. The Active Learning philosopy and its FIELA Curriculum support other priority learning needs of students with disability.
Multi-disciplinary teams work together to create individual curriculum plans which are reported on and revised each semester.
Students in the Early Childhood Development Program follow a curriculum based on their individual learning needs drawn from the Early Years Curriculum Guidelines, the Expanded Core Curriculum and the FIELA Curriculum.
Students in Prep to Year 10 are taught the key learning areas of the Australian Curriculum with learning expectations drawn from the general capabilities and the subject sequences. Priority learning is documented in Individual Curriculum Plans.
Curriculum for students in Years 11 and 12 is developed using the
