Kerry Tait had the audacious plan of using different artwork to allow students to have a sense of place about where they were in the school.
This continues to be wonderfully received by all of the students in the school from pre-schoolers through to seniors, students in wheelchairs and walking students.
The initial stages were completed by early 2011 for the official launch. For more information view the Arts Queensland publication (PDF, 1.3 MB).
Since then we have had a number of art pieces either made or donated to the school. Special acknowledgement must go to:
- Fiona Cameron who continues to develop new materials around the school.
- Ian and Ruby Houston for the production of wooden and other materials.
Thanks must continue to go to Kerry Tait for her foresight and determination to see this long drawn out process through.
