Narbethong's Curriculum Framework
Narbethong offers a flexible
curriculum designed to meet the individual needs of students by incorporating the Australian Curriculum learning areas of English and Mathematics, the
Expanded Core Curriculum for Students with Vision Impairment and the FIELA Curriculum for other priority learning needs of students with disability.
Multi-disciplinary teams work together to create individual curriculum plans which are reported on and revised each semester.
Students in the Early Childhood Development Program follow a curriculum based on their individual learning needs drawing from the FIELA curriculum and Queensland Kindergarten guidelines.
Students in Prep to Year 10 follow a curriculum based on areas of the Australian Curriculum and their individual learning goals outlined below.

At Narbethong, students in Years Prep to 10 are taught the Australian Curriculum learning areas of English and Mathematics using the Curriculum to Classroom (C2C) for Students with Disability (SWD) units of work. These units incorporate the Australian Curriculum Achievement Standards and Content Descriptions. Teaching and learning episodes are modified to suit the individual learning needs of each student. This modified curriculum is documented in an Individual Curriculum Plan (ICP), which is endorsed by parents or guardians each semester.
