Book Week
Book week is coming up soon! The theme this year is
"Old worlds, new worlds, other worlds".
We will be having a dress as a book character day and parade at 10am in the Courtyard on Thursday the 26th of August (as long as the current restrictions allow). Narby's Literacy Coach, Anna, will be leading a shared reading of the book Alien's Love Underpants at this event. Classes are invited to bring a picnic blanket and morning tea to enjoy after the parade.
Students are encouraged to bring along their favourite book or dress up as a book character if they wish. This is not compulsory. Costumes should be cleverly simple and where possible, use items that you already have at home.
Here are some ideas related to the theme to help you with costume ideas:
- Old Worlds: dinosaurs, olden days, Vikings, Ancient Egyptians
- New Worlds: aliens, astronauts, futuristic
- Other worlds - mermaids, unicorns, wizards, monsters, dragons, fairies
At this stage, due to Covid restirctions, this will be a School only event. Parents and Carers will not be able to attend. A notification will be sent via Facebook if this advice changes.
